The New/Old Trident - Sausalito

I met a friend at the newly reopened Trident for lunch today and found its looks much the same as before but updated/modernized and the food very good. I had the mahi-mahi (today's special) and it couldn't have been better, including the various other things on the plate (see photo). My friend had the salmon and declared it good, if not as picturesque as my plate. The service was fine, albeit with no trace of the "old Trident" visual style. Of course the view is the same, meaning great. It was too cold to sit outside today, but the deck beckons. All in all, a very promising visit.

  1. Any idea what they did in the remodel? Doesn't look much different than it did a year ago.

It looks about the same to me, maybe not so rustic looking, but I hadn't seen the inside for very long time.

    2. Would you care to comment on the female servers' underpinnings?

As I said, no trace of the old Trident style. Completely 21st century proper. The female servers and hostess would would be properly in place at any good restaurant you can think of. Whether that's an improvement over the original-Trident style I'll leave to individual opinion.

        2. Excellent mussels and clams too.
