Best source to purchase fresh crab in SF?

Great that the December 2012 strike is over!

And now....grateful your suggestions for the best place to buy fresh crab in SF for delectable consumption at home.

    Where in San Francisco do you do your shopping? Are you interested in buying live crab or crab already cooked, cracked & cleaned?

    There are 2 Asian fishmongers on the south side of Clement Street. One is between 4th & 5th Avenues and the other is between 9th & 10th.

      Hi again David.
      This is my first post to Chow, so appreciate active replies!
      Live in Bernal Heights, near Mission.
      Am looking for cooked crab.
      Still remember the Annie Hall scene, Woody Allen struggling with live lobster...prefer mine cooked already, ideally still a whole.

        Mission Market Fish & Poultry for sure has cooked.

            Do they sell cooked crab? We get live crabs there, for sure. Just not sure if I've seen cooked there or not.

            There are lots of places in SF. Pretty much every Chinese and Vietnamese fishmonger with live tanks will have them.
