Hi everyone!
Where in Montreal could I find the dark sweet cherries in heavy syrup that this Chow recipe calls for (http://www.chow.com/recipes/30552-bla...)?
I don't recall having seen those anywhere.. Thanks!

I think I've seen them at Akhavan. but Loblaws should carry them somewhere. I think my Mom used to use Bing cherries in syrup for her Black Forest stuff.

At worst Akhavan will have frozen cherries and I'm sure there's a way to make your own syrup for them. I was thinking of making the same cake and that's the route I'll probably go because I was thinking it would be nice to do half sweet and half sour cherries.

I may have also seen some at Milano's on St. Laurent, but I'm not 100% sure.

La Vielle Europe on St Laurent has them.
