So, I need to take my vegan nephew and the rest of my carnivore family out to dinner this weekend. Any suggestions?

Deepwood has a great vegetarian menu and I bet they would make something vegan also. They seem very accommodating. I know Alana's does vegan.

We ended up going to Explorer's Club, just south of Merion Village on S. High St. I had read reviews of this place on Yelp and looked at the menu: http://www.explorersclubmv.com/This turned out to be very good. We got there about 6:30 p.m. on Friday night and were seated immediately. It isn't a big restaurant, but very nicely decorated. The food was very good - DD and I had the homemade mac & cheese, very creamy and cheesy, a little spicy, very tasty. Nephew had the vegetable Lo Mein with tofu, which he said was tasty as well (he cleaned his plate!).
