Great dinner place halfway between Downtown LA and Long Beach?

Looking to set up dinner with friends who live in Long Beach and I'm trying to split the driving distance with them... something along the 710 corridor between the 5 Freeway and the 105 would be perfect: but south East LA is ok too. Cudahy, Downey, Lynwood, East LA are all in the ballpark Anyone have a good recommendation?

      amen! or, if you or they are willing to vary a bit from teh 710 corridor, take the 605/5 and eat at Dal Rae.
