Panko crumbs,,,,can they be frozen

Buy a box of panko crumbs at costco's and am wondering if they can be frozen and for how long..thanks

    No, they will absorb moisture from the freezing and thawing.

    Store unused panko in a ziploc bag, in the cupboard. Don't worry, they won't go stale ...

      This is correct. I buy the panko from Costco also, and I keep them in a glass canister jar.

        Yep. I am embarrassed to admit how long I have had my stash of panko ziplocked in the cupboard. Just used some a couple days ago and lived to tell about it. And they were good!

      I keep mine frozen in a ziplock bag once they are opened, and I've never had a problem with moisture. I just measure out what I need, and refreeze the remainder.

        I keep mine in the freezer, never had a problem.
