Ana Sortun is looking to take over the former Paddock restaurant space. Crap, this means I'll never be able to move. The Paddock is around the corner from my house!

Its not your dishwasher's (East) Somerville anymore .... instead of whipping your partner around dancing to "forro" we bring you "whipped feta." And of course "prices fit for the neighborhood"... then expanded to "prices akin to Oleana."

Oh well, I guess this means no more Brazilian Karaoke and World Cup soccer. :-(

Prices fit for the neighborhood (that's coming with the Green Line expansion).

Yes, exactly - "prices to fit the [new] neighborhood"

Last I heard the traget date for the green line extension was 2016-17, but they are already behind schedule. It's going to be awhile before the neighborhood gentrifies. She's going to have to something reasonable with a space this large to survive.

I have heard that best case scenario for the Green line is 2018. It is in a tricky neighborhood. Close to Highland Kitchen and the Winter Hill area but also close enough to a more depressed and decidedly less gentrified area of Somerville. Plus parking might be an issue around there. I do hope it does well though and I'm looking forward to it opening.
