Beer trade?

Need some help my fellow Chowhounders. Living in Jersey we don't have access to some of the finer beers. I'm hoping someone can and will send me some of the following- Russian River Blind Pig and Pliny the Elder, The Alchemist Heady Topper, or Zombie Dust. None of those are available in Jersey due to some bs and Id be willing to send anything in return.

I don't know as much about the other beers mentioned, but Pliny is often hard to come by even in the Bay Area. It doesn't get shipped to the East. I think your best bet is an appeal on the SF Board or Beer Advocate. Last time I went to San Francisco, I went directly from the airport to the Toronado for a couple pints - luggage and all in tow (Frankly, it was part of the purpose of the trip).

If you're in the area, you can hit up the brewery directly. People were buying it by the case when I was there over the Holidays. Might as well hit up Lagunitas & Bear Republic while you're at it as I did.

Lagunitas is quickly becoming one of my favorite breweries.

I just picked up a 6er of Lagunitas Sucks on the recommendation of the beer guy at Whole Foods who described it as the poor mans Pliny and I wasn't disappointed.

I am in Oregon and I have only had the good fortune to find Pliny the Elder once...it was sublime.

Brent, I am aware of the geographical areas, I should have specified better. I'm not looking for all at once but rather if anybody is in those certain areas. I have also posted on those other sites, just going through all resources.

If you in the part of Jersey that is near Philly, you can occasionally find the Russian River beers there. They come and go quickly when they are in stock, however. Good luck on your quest.

Also, if you haven't tried them yet, Kane Brewing's Head High and Overhead are really fine NJ-brewed examples of the IPA and DIPA styles. Only available on draft, however.

You are very unlikely to find anyone that has all of those beers as they are not widely distributed out of their home markets (the bs that that flummoxes you is that those breweries don't produce enough to distribute their beers on a nationwide basis). So a Russian River trader will likely live in CA, a Heady Topper trader will live in Vermont and a Zombie Dust trade will live in the Chicago area.

Anyway, their are active trading forums on beeradvocate.com and ratebeer.com and I would suggest that you post your request there.
