Gingerbread Trifle - Help
I am putting together a trifle for my husband's office potluck lunch tomorrow and I need some feedback please. I am envisioning gingerbread with a bit of orange soaking syrup (possibly), cream cheese/cheesecake mousse, cinnamon whipped cream and...?? That's where I am stuck. First of all, do you think those flavors would work together? Secondly, what could I add to give a visual contrast between the mousse and the whipped cream? I was thinking mandarin oranges or pinaeapple, but I'm not sure how that will work. Thirdly, should there be any other texture variant? Something crunchy?
