Singapore style noodles in downtown

marblebag Dec 11, 2012 09:46 AM

Since the demise or extended vacation of Noodles Bejing on Peel St, I am unable to find a decent singaporte style noodle dish downtown. The one from the buffer Kalohin is terrible, the train station food court Chinese join is terrible at everything they do.

Any ideas without walking to Chinatown 1 or 2?

I find that the food court in the carrefour industriel alliance has some nice places. I'm not sure if the chinese is good though.

Way back when, the Chinese place was decent, for rice noodly things, shrimp and lobster sauce on rice. Dunno about now. What about the Chinese place in Cours Mont Royal?

The chinese under the train station used to be good (although a bit dryer than the ones at Beijing noodles) but they recently turned into another tiki ming outlet so quality (and variety) is not there anymore.

The ones at the food court at 1000 de la gauchetiere we're good from what i remember but didn't had them in a while so it might worth it to try them again.

Ghostsquare: the chinese place at carrefour IA is another tiki ming, nothing to write home about, same thing at Cours Mont-royal
