Lunch near Amsterdam and 112th

I am taking my young 7 year old nephew to the concert at St John the Devine saturday afternoon. Can you recommend a lunch place up in that area? Nothing off the wall, american food would probably be the best. Thanks!

Busters at 103rd-104th and Amsterdam has fresh, healthy food and hits most of the basics (sandwiches and salads) but often offers more adventurous specials that might appeal to you, if not your nephew. Service from Fidel is warm and welcoming. It's a tiny place. Open for lunch from Tuesday-Saturday. You get a complimentary cookie at the end of the meal.

We got to Buster's yesterday around noon and they were closed.

Weird, as they are usually open Tuesday through Saturday for lunch, starting at noon.

Yeah, Miss Mamie's Spoonbread Too is a good suggestion. I am unfamiliar with Busters, though.

I must have walked by Busters twenty times without noticing it. There is no sign jutting out, just a small blackboard in front of the place. It's on the west side of the street, right across the street from the giant hostel.

If you decide on Miss Mamie's Too, just a heads up that it is listed on many of the discount sites, such as Restaurant.com

Thanks, I don't anything about how those discount sites work and I have never been on them.
