  1. Baked apples make a great companion to ham in my opinion...

    1. Something not too dry is usually desirable with a baked ham. Pommes dauphinoise for instance, or califlower cheese, or mac and cheese perhaps?

Broad (known as fava in the US?) beans in a parsley sauce are great with ham.

Can't edit on this pesky new site (hate it) but here's a recipe:

I don't like the new site but you can edit as always.

I did edit a spelling mistake, but it wouldn't open for second edit when I wanted to add my further contribution. My bad maybe.

        2. Scalloped potatoes. A salsa/salad of pineapple, red pepper, red onion, cilantro and lime juice. Hmmm, maybe not with the scallloped potatoes - but both dishes are great with ham :)

          1. Biscuits
            Macaroni and Cheese
Potatoes au Gratin or Cauliflower Au Gratin (Love Ina's recipe)
            Cranberry Relish
            Green Beans
Green Salad (love using apples, pomegranates, pears for winter)
            Baked Cheese Grits
            Sweet Potato Casserole
            Corn Pudding
            Corn Bread
            Pecan Pie
            Coconut Cream Cake
Cheesecake (lots of fun variations for the holiday-pomegranate, peppermint, eggnog)
Sweet Potato Pie with Marshmallow Meringue
            Bread Pudding
            Red Velvet Cupcakes

            1. I like Foodie's suggestion of mac&cheese, but my wife's standard ham side is sweet potatoes. Hmm, I wonder if you could make scalloped potatoes with both white and sweet varieties?
