Icehouse on a Tuesday

If I come in around 5:30-6:00, is there a good chance for a group of 4-5 people can get seated right away? I've only been once, so I can't judge how busy is it at various times. But I know it is tiny, and very popular, and we do not want to wait.

Thanks in advance for feedback.

  1. I went to Icehouse last week on a Thursday around 5:30 and the place was empty. It did fill up quick quickly though. Hope that helps!

    1. I think if you arrive before 6, there's a very good possibility you will not have to wait for a table.

      1. Thanks for the replies, I'll give it a shot.

        1. You should be good.

Until then, you can salivate on these pics from Icehouse :)

Those are the fried chicken taco and the grilled steak burrito (possibly the best burrito in town).

Wow, did the tacos actually come served in a plate (because that would be an improvement over most of the menu), or was that takeout?

looks more like the cardboard boat is on the plastic "school" tray.

The tacos are served on carton taco holders, and the whole meal is served on red plastic trays. Nothing wrong with that. Goes with the kind of place they're trying to portray.

there is something wrong with it given the prices

I really didn't mean to re-start this whole detabe re:Icehouse, but plastic and cardboard tray, I'm ok with, it's the dumping it right on the brown paper on the table that I'm not a fan of, and it's got nothing to do with the prices they charge. Just a minimum for me. But I understand they do it to give the original Icehouse feel. Just that this one is not by the side of the road, you have to plan to go to :)
