Dried Fruit on the North Shore

Hi
anywhere to get dried peaches and pears on the North Shore? Trader Joe's and Whole foods don't have what I am looking for. Methuen (George's) is too out of the way. Thanks

www.apricotking.com, in California, has spectacularly good ones. If you figure what you'd pay for the same number of pieces of fresh fruit, the cost plus shipping isn't really much different. There are several Apricot King threads on General Topics.

You may try calling J Pace in Saugus

I'm more sure of Fastachi in Watertown having what you need. I'd start with that, if that fails, Arax (Watertown), and then J. Pace.

Thanks for the suggestion but J. Pace doesn't carry them, I'm in Gloucester, Watertown is a bit of a schlep (and involves going 'ova the bridge') but it may be my only option.
