Possible to buy fresh, shredded (NOT grated!) coconut?

I know I can buy a coconut, hit it with a hammer, peel it, and shred it myself, which is probably not happening in this lifetime. Is it possible to buy fresh coconut, even if I have to shred it myself? I'm thinking Asian markets? Any advice is appreciated!

The Head Nut in the RTM (and I guess at its other locations) has shredded coconut and also coconut "chips"

That would be dried, though, right? For most purposes not interchangeable with fresh.

The Asian stores in South Philly have peeled coconuts ready to go.

Would love to know. I get mine frozen in the Indian grocer.
