Weekday lunch between Chelsea and Essex St. Markets

I am from Boston, and thought I'd pick your brains in the Manhattan Board for a weekday lunch next week. My mom and I visit the city once a year before the holidays to go to the different markets. Our plan right now is to go to The Meadow and Chelsea Market in the AM, and then go across town to Essex St. Market in the PM. Trying to find a lunch spot has been a bit of a challenge for me. We are looking for something around ~20/per person before tax and tip. I have thought about 'inoteca and momofoku noodle bar, which both seem to fit the bill, but I wanted to see if people here had other ideas. We are open to any style of food (last year we went to Zabb Elee and enjoyed it!), and I would definitely consider something that isn't necessarily in that area (we'll be taking the subway around). Thanks in advance.

You could also do a nice lunch in that price range in Chinatown; I'm specifically thinking dim sum at Nom Wah Tea Parlor.

      What day of the week?

Shopsins in Essex St Market is an experience and if you order carefully you'll stay in your budget. Portions are on the generous side. Open Weds-Sun.

Mission Chinese is an SF transplant doing creative, Chinese influenced food. It's not very expensive and part of each dish ordered goes to charity.

Closer to the Meadow/Chelsea Market is Spotted Pig. Much quieter for lunch than dinner, so you'll be able to skip the massive lines.
