Christmas Eve dinner near Monterey/Carmel?

We will be in Monterey for Christmas weekend and would like a good restaurant for Christmas eve dinner. We are going to Big Sur Bakery on December 23, so we don't want to drive as far as Sierra Mar again on the 24th. We already went to 1833 last year, and we don't love this year's menu at Aubergine. If there are no closer choices, we could go down to Marinus, but I would prefer something closer. Anything good at Pebble Beach? Thanks!

Cachagua only open Mon night & Sun brunch. small house, rez's a must.

What do you think about going out there for Christmas Eve? I like the idea of a family style atmosphere but if it's more of a bar scene then I'll wait for another day.
