Does anyone know?

Where on line or in the New York/Brooklyn area where I can buy Royal Icing or buy edible glycerin to make my own. My American step daughter would like a British Christmas cake. I have ordered the cake but cannot get what I need to royal ice the cake. Any suggestions. Thanks.

Thank you. I buy a lot from Amazon. I went to their website and got everything I needed, icing, nozzles, roll-out past.

    1. Craft store? My local AC Moore has a whole baking section & sells royal icing mix....

      1. Isn't Royal Icing just confectioners (icing) sugar, egg white, and water?

          Pretty much........I've seen a few different versions.....I like Alton Brown's version: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/al...

Yes it is but if you do not add edible glycerin, the icing sets so hard you cannot cut it. I have bought it ready made from Amazon.com + the icing bag and nozzles.

Further to my previous message, icing sugar and egg white only, no water.

              2. This place is in NYC and has most everything. Cool place.
