Sufganiyot near New Haven?

For the holiday season, Dunkin Donuts just won't do. Any source of really good jelly donuts/sufganiyot in the New Haven vicinity? (Something in the direction of Hamden/Cheshire/Woodbridge would be nice, but I'll go where I must...)

If you're not looking for kosher only (and by mentioning DD, I assume you are not) then try Whitne Donuts on Whitney Ave north of Memorial Town Hall in Hamden.

How did I not think of Whitney Donuts? (Answer: they're too much of a temptation, so I've trained myself not to see the store when I drive past...) Guess I'll have to stop in & see what flavors they have these days!

I lived in Hamden for 17 years, and although I don't eat jelly donuts, Whitney Donuts made the best donuts in the area, period.

Have you tried calling the Westville Kosher Market? If they don't have them in their bakery, they might know where to find them.
