Help me recreate some dishes from Oakland's Shagri-la (formerly Manzanita)
I love the meals at Shangri-La Vegan. I've made macriobiotic food before but none of the recipes I've used are really like the food I've had at Shangri-La/Manzanita. Theirs is much more flavorful while a lot of the stuff I've made has been bland. I like their dressings and sauces a lot and I'm not sure what spices they put on their veggies, or how the veggies are cooked.
I could make the collard greens and probably beans on my own but would need help with similar soups, veggies, and sauces (for salad and as topping for greens). I figured if anyone could figure out how to make some of these dishes it would be Chowhounders? Any ideas? Thank you!
