Sandwiches at Cheese Store of Pasadena

cdub Dec 7, 2012 01:09 PM

just had lunch at the cheese store of pasadena. they make a pretty mean sandwich. i can't speak for them all since i only had one but the one that i had, pate, prosciutto, gruyere, cornichons, and some very good olive oil on a hearty french baguette.

it was pretty spectacular and huge for $10. if you're in the area, worth checking out. don't think too many people are going there for sandwiches since i was the only one that ordered one the whole time i was there.

a real gem in the area and quite a deal. (the tiny can of perrier for $1.75 however was not a deal)

I also recently (last 2 months or so) discovered that they're doing sandwiches. Good stuff, indeed.

Had to buy a gift at William-Sonoma and stopped in for a sandie while waiting for gift wrap. First time there. Ordered the grilled cheese of gruyere with french ham and dijon.

It was the one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches we've had in recent memory. The grilled cheese at Hog Island is our gold standard.

It was perfectly pressed and toasted without any greasiness with a near perfect ratio of cheese to ham and dijon. At $6.95, it's a bargain.

Can't wait to go back and try every sandwich.
