quick great dessert in soho

Taking wife & kids to Soho tomorrow am to the WIRED Store. Planning lunch at Parm or Lure or Aqua Grille & looking for something to grab for dessert after - probably to take home.

We like simple - been to Levain, love it, had tiny cupcakes they sell in the street window, OK, been to doughnut plant, great, etc

Was thinking of trying puddin

We will be on Broadway near Houston - cant walk too far

Any suggestions?

I don't know how far is far to you guys, but I'd recommend Dominique Ansel for very good French dessert.

Ceci Cela is only about 3 blocks away. They have great Financiers

I don't have much to add - but if you do end up at Aqua Grill for lunch then Dominique Ansel is literally steps away. Have the made-to-order madeleine there and then take some DKAs and cannele home.

The little cupcakes in the window are Baked By Melissa brand; I think they're massively overpriced.

          Nearby:
          Georgetown Cupcake (from DC)
          Balthazar Bakery
          Bottega Falai
          Eileen's Cheesecake
          Ceci-Cela

          A little further:
          Mille-Feuille
          Ivy Bakery
          Payard
          Bombolini at Il Buco

La Churreria is also nearby but I don't think their stuff keeps as well.

          Same for Bruno's cannoli.

I'm guessing Grandaisy, Dominique Ansel, and Birdbath are probably too far away if you are rushed for time.
