So Ferran Adria asks for a Boston recommendation and you send him to....

...the Garden at the Cellar?

Where would you send him? An intimidating ask... perhaps he'd already been to Craigie? He lectures at Harvard a lot. I'd have to go with lobsters/seafood.

Heh, he should have been sent to Grafton Street.

What he ate there looks pretty good. I haven't been back much since the end of the Gilson era, but it seems to have many of the same virtues. Also, it's walking distance from Harvard. Not a bad choice at all, in my book.

Slim, do you mean to suggest that he might not want to have starry-eyed chefs ushering him into private dining rooms to serve him chilled truffle oil spheres and wagyu vapors every day of his life?

What a ridiculous thought is indeed!

He should've gone to Bon Chon.

I'd send him to YoMa - why eat a lesser version of what you can produce yourself?

If I had been asked, I probably would have suggested some place where an ex-pat chef is cooking their traditional cuisine mainly for other ex-pats. Yoma certainly fits this bill. Maybe a Jalisco, or S&I, or JoJo, something like that. YWK might be fun if not for the wait.

well he did recently do toki underground with josen andres (per pic on twitter); ramen overkill, or maybe proof he likes good ramen... granted such different styles...
