Freezing Cookie Dough

A friend and I get together every year and bake Christmas cookies. We are always a little to ambitious and try to bake more cookies than we have time for. I have never tried freezing cookie dough before, but I thought I would give it a try this year.

I was looking for suggestions on which types of cookies will freeze best and how to adjust cooking times.

  1. I freeze any kind of cookie dough. You only need to cook a minute or two extra.

    1. With leftover cookie dough, I like to roll it into the little balls, freeze until solid, and then store in freezer bags. It's much easier to bake frozen from that point on than defrosting and shaping a block of cookie dough.
