Burger Suggestion Woodbine/Hwy 7

Looking for a great burger spot for lunch tomorrow. We have an hour so long drive out of the question.

Thanks

        Another vote for Big Moe's.
Also, Hazel's is great for a diner burger n' shake.

Hazel's burger is a very densely packed hockey puck of a burger. Difficult to swallow. Haven't tried the shakes. Would stick to breakfast at Hazel's if you have to eat there. If you need to eat a burger on Yonge 3 km south of the 401, Burgers Priest and Burger Cellar are less than a 2 minute walk from Hazel's.

What other burger joints would you recommend in this area?

Only went once. It was pretty darn good. Solid 8.5/10. And I'm a tough judge.

Only problem was the environment. Not very pleasant.

But overall, and especially given the area, I definitely recommend for a burger fix.

There aren't many choices that I know of.

My one visit saw a very over cooked Jucy Lucy. Dry meat, molten cheese, big red burn mark on my chin.
I've heard the regular burgers are better than the JL but I've yet to make a return visit.

                  Crappy about your experience.

Based on what I'd heard I went with their regular burger yeah (double actually)... and was very pleased. Was worth the fat: )

I keep thinking that one of these days I need to give the one on Lawrence E a shot. It's kinda convenient if I have to go to a vendor out in Scarb.

Speaking of burgers, I'm quite impressed with the burger at Stack on Yonge just south of Hoggs Hollow.
A buddy went on Saturday specifically because of my recommendation and thought it was, as he likes to put it, "Spectacular."

Davwud, there's a Groupon deal for Big Moe's - in case you feel like giving it another shot (on a 50% discount at least).

if you go to Prime Burger, get some fries. i don't always like thick cut fries but they do a great job with them!

Prime is mostly take out. Hero does not get much(any) praise on this board. There is a south street burger on Woodbine south of 7. If you want to go slighlty upscale Baton Rouge on 7 just east of the DVP does an okay burger with great shoe string fries although I must confess that I have not been there is over a year.

                        Johny's, BLAUGH.

Never have I been to a place that has survived so long with such an inferior product.

The only reason I went to that place to get a burger, and never again, was all the comments from this board.

So far, this is the only "miss" that I have encountered from this board.

Funny you say that. It was from this board that I've heard the most criticism of Johnny's. That's almost like saying you went to the Mandarin because of the comments on this board.
