chocolate decorating - paramount crystals

i'll be using confectioner's coating for my candy shells this year and was wondering if anyone had tried using paramount crystals like one would use cocoa butter in chocolate decorating.

I've used cocoa butter in chocolate making before to decorate - and was thinking maybe i could use melted paramount crystals in the same way, since paramount crystals represent the fat in confectioner's coating as cocoa butter does in real chocolate.

any thoughts/ideas/suggestions?
