Sam Mickail’s CUT Steakhouse

In West Orange, part of the 4SixtyFour entertainment "complex", opens tonight. Does anyone know anything about it? I tried to make reservations and was told that they are booked through Saturday.

      That's what I was thinking too, but the chef has a bit of a pedigree, and was at the helm at Rare when they first opened to good reviews.

        Good chef or not, the quality will be dragged down and the prices pumped up just by association with that pile of godawful that is 4sixtywhatever

          I drive by 4SixtyFour every day, but I've never been in. You clearly have a very strong negative opinion of the place. I'm curious what makes it so bad?

            Went there once...returned the steak and was not charged for it. Also, I picked a wine off the list that looked like good value and they told me after we opened it that there was a typo on the menu and it actually was $50 bucks higher. That led to a lively conversation and a quick decision never to return.

              I assume you didn't pay the additional $50. That's outrageous. In fact it probably is illegal. It's called unjust enrichment.

    2. Has anyone eaten there yet? How are the steaks?
