where to eat in brooklyn for a good christmas eve dinner

my husband and I will be visiting our daughter in her new home in brooklyn and would like to try delicious food and ambiance for xmas eve. Don't want to spend a ton of money, but want good food and good value..any cuisine is up for suggestions.

I don't know which neighborhood you are visiting, but we ate at Vanderbilt restaurant (on Vanderbilt Avenue) in Prospect Heights. It was lovely, with a delicious family-style dinner. Highly recommended it!

We recently reported on a very disappointing dinner at The Vanderbilt. Ambience is hardly special either.

Since we usually go out on Christmas Eve, Im looking for the same thing will try to report back what I find for this year..
