Hi,

Been going to SJ for several years now. We have a big group of people. Prefer to stay closer to Condado but will venture to Santurce, OSJ, Miramar, etc.

Here's my list but need help narrowing it down:
Casita Miramar
Bar Gitano
Bebo's Cafe
Ummo Grill
Blonda
Jose Santaella
Jose Enrique
Jam
Maramalade
Casa Lola
Budathai
El Jibarito
La Casita Blanca
Laurel
Tasca el Pescador
Compostela
Niche

Def going back to Jose Santella, Budathai and Jam. Want to try Bar Gitano and def Jose Enrique. Have been to Lola and Compostela. Any thoughts or advice? Anything else out there? I've read all the boards already. Not much on here about Laurel, Gitano, or Blonda but good reviews on Open Table.

Thanks!

Trying to decide between Laurel and Niche. Also, has anyone on here been to Blonda?

Blonda is good if somewhat unspectacular. I like the food at Laurel but find the decor a bit garish. Jose Enrique and Santaella are very good; I like Santaella's appetizers and the cocktails are excellent. You might want to try 1919, the new restaurant at The Condado Vanderbilt, just recently opened. Went a couple of weeks ago and the food was outstanding, decor very nice. 1919's chef is Juan Cuevas who has worked at the late L'Espinnase and at Blue Hill, both in NYC and both tremendous restaurants. Another new option is SuCasa , the new restaurant by Jose Andres at the just-opened(today!), Dorado Ritz Carlton Reserve.
      Enjoy!
