Your House restaurant on Capital Blvd in Raleigh closed?
I know many of you 'foodies' out there will think "good riddance" at this news but I'm curious about what happened. No notice, just closed with a sign out front announcing an auction of restaurant equipment.
I never ate anything but breakfast there, but they knew how to make eggs per your order (important!) and their link sausage was the best in Raleigh. Friendly fast service too!
Anyway, I'm disappointed. Anybody hear what caused this tragedy?
Oh no! They had the best hash browns around.
I have no idea what happened. The last few times I went there, about a year ago, I got so aggravated about how they were charging me that I stopped going. I always ordered the same thing and had never had problems. Suddenly it was a huge issue for them - to the point where the way the calculated my bill made it almost double. Not sure if it was new employees or change in management. End result I just stopped going.
I noticed the building is surrounded by construction fencing. Probably a victim to "progress"?
It was our favorite Saturday morning breakfast place as long as Mario & Rosie were cooking. We miss Linda & the rest of the Sat morning crew. We noticed over the last year that the Sat. morning patrons had thinned out; we never had to wait for a booth @ 9 a.m. on Sat. It was sad.
I hope the crew landed on their feet.
The signs around the site seem to indicate some type of drive-thru restaurant is going in. From the glimpse I caught today, it said "Take..." something drive thru.
If anyone knows what's going on, it would be nice to know.
