Looking for Strudel on Westside

Nukedli Dec 1, 2012 10:48 PM

Any suggestions for a really special, traditional, whole (serving 8 or more) apple or cherry strudel in WLA or the Westside? Vienna Pastry gets very mixed reviews and the place in San Pedro is too far.

Have you checked with 3 Square http://www.3squarecafe.com/ or Bouchon Bakery http://bouchonbakery.com/beverly-hills in Beverly Hills to see if they might have your desired strudel?

      Try Paris Pastry on Westwood.

had some cookies from paris pastry a couple of weeks ago.

i have a suspicion they've jumped the shark.

I have not been in a decade so I was just offering a thought. They used to have great tarts.

Try the Copenhagen Bakery in Culver City on Venice Blvd. They are not German, but the quality is so damn good that it might be worth it to go Danish.

Agreed on Copenhagen Pastry. The raspberry strudel was considerably smaller by the piece than it looked in the display case, but it was "eyes rolling back in my head" good!

+ Two on Copenhagen. The ladies are incredibly sweet and their pastries are fantastic.

Try the almond kringle pastry too.
