Laid back bar/ lounge with a toddler in the North End area.

We lived in the North End for years and recently moved to the burbs with the birth of our son. We are meeting some friends for a drink this afternoon back in the old hood and bringing our one and a half year old along. Does anyone have a recommendation for a bar/ lounge that would be appropriate.

Thanks, we wound up running late and just grabbed dinner at Galleria 33 ( kitchen nightmares), which was fine with the little guys, and actually had a very good Osso Bucco with risotto.

I would go with the Marriott rather than an actual freestanding bar. Someone can always take the toddler to play in the seating area of the lobby if necessary.

Not a lounge, but we've met friends for a light snack and wine at Daily Catch (at an off hour, so no wait), and had success. So casual.

I'm having trouble thinking of any "bars" in the North End. Living Room I guess...Sail Loft...What else? Lots of restaurants have bars, but are there in fact any straightforward pubs in the N.E.?

There's the Corner Cafe, Goody Glovers, The Waterfront.. All of which I wouldn't bring my son.I was hoping for more of a hotel bar lobby feel and was coming up empty. Will probably just do the Marriott.
