Christmas Cookies from Around the World (Ethnic Cookies)

I am very interested in Christmas traditions from other countries. I would like to bake Christmas cookies from various countries. The only ones I know about are lebkuchen, springerle, Mexican wedding cookies, and pizelles. I would love to have links to recipes for others. Any information from family lore or history, culture, etc. would be wonderful. TIA
