ISO Oreo Mint Cookies

Last year I got a package of Oreo Mint cookies at the Lawrence & Markham Rd No Frills. Amazing, amazing. Loved them. They're thin chocolate wafers with mint creme on top, and coated in chocolate. Like a thinner Thin Mint. Seemed to be a holiday version, as they were only around for December.

If you see this cookie anywhere, please let me know!! I miss them lots.

  1. Try the factory outlet on o'Connor just south of Ellington. They usually have Oreo brands that I don'tsee anywhere!

I was just at the factory outlet yesterday and didn't see those. I'm pretty sure they had oreos with candy cane filling though.
The cookies the OP describes sound a lot like the mint cookies the Girl Guides sell, if you know any guides ask if they still have some left.

Thanks, Lexi! Yep, I went there on the weekend, and while they did have mint Oreos, they were the regular kind of Oreo but with mint creme filling. (And also some kind of weird berry flavour?!) Anyway, this one is very similar to Thin Mints, as I noted above. But thinner. Will keep waiting and looking.

    2. I don't know if it's different in Ontario, but here in the US they are currently being marketed under the cookie line "Oreo Fudge Cremes". Using that name may give you better luck in finding stores that carry them.

They are totally delicious and I absolutely agree that they are different than the Girl Scout Thin Mints. They are crispier, less dry (probably because of the creamier fondant-like filling layer) and the mint is more pleasant.

If you can't find them locally, you can get them online from places like Amazon.com or possibly Amazon.ca

      Hope this helps!

Thank you! Although I really hope it doesn't come to that, I'm certainly not above mail-order Oreos.

      2. In case you haven't found these yet, the guy checking out in front of me at Food Basics yesterday was buying some. IT was the location on Pape just north of Cosburn.

Thanks. We ended up finding them at Target in Niagara Falls after Christmas. Still delicious. Might have to get more.
