palm springs- las casuelas

Can anyone tell me the difference between the Original Las Casuelas and Las Casuelas Terrazas on Palm Canyon? Does one have better food or atmosphere than the other? thanks.

    1. Avoid the food at Las Casuels Terraza, eat at the original. For fun and dancing, Terraza is more fun.

Sorry, have to disagree--the new one is far superior-=-=if more expensive. Extensive menu. Great fish tacos and a wonderful weekend brunch. The old one may be more authentic, but is quite tired.
I have eaten several (many) times at both and it sort of depends on what you may require from a Mexican restaurant.

I been to both but, terazzas gets my vote, plus they have a live band on a tuesday night, We had a blast!, when you go ask the band to play rancho grande and tell them mz2happy recomended it!!!

            2. Terrazas. I prefer El Mirasol and JJ's Latino over either however...

                1. Been going to the original since I was a little chicka but since we usually stay in Rancho Mirage and Indian Wells, Las Casuelas Terrazas works well for us.
It is a gorgeous patio with flowering hanging bouganvilla and the strumming mariachis.
Food is good and we always have a good time.

                    1. caprigirl, it sounds like all of the responses you got (except maybe the first) don't realize that the "original" Las Cas is not the one in Rancho Mirage, but is the little hole in the wall on Palm Canyon in PS, about a half a mile north of Terrazza. Not sure if they are owned by the same family, but I doubt it. Neither one is all that great. Terrazza is fun and touristy, a great place enjoy a band in the evenings, but the food is forgettable and the prices are high. (Same for the location in Rancho Mirage.) If you want cheap authentic Mexican, go to Cathedral City.
