Magazine St Lunch?

I agree with Casamento's.

My wife had a great ham (root beer glazed) po-boy at Mahoney's. Then, when her lunch spilled over past 2:00...and I missed my window of opportunity for Casamento's...I had a great burger at La Petite Grocery!

I'm a huge fan of Casamento's. Have been to La Petite Grocery only once, but I had their butterscotch pudding and I can't stop thinking about it.

Coquette has a great lunch deal - with wine/cocktail deals on Wed/Thursday - another good casual option would be Joey K's

Depending on how far down Magazine you'll be, I never come to town without getting an oyster loaf at Casamentos.

Plus one for both Coquette and Casamentos. We stopped by Casamentos today and they were closed,. Couldn't read the sign (ok, we didn't stop, we drove by slooowly) and neither the website nor the voice mail explain why they are closed - maybe an extended Thanksgiving day holiday? Also recommend lunch at Lilette, further uptown on Magazine; duck confit to die for....really the best I've had, including in Paris.
