Best meal in Santee-open to all

I really like this board for best fish, best burrito, ethnic, etc. so T.I.A. I have to go to Santee on Friday, drop off a friend and pick them up later. I've never been there. Is ther anything you would call the best of San Diego, located in Santee or very close by? I'd like to support local, like ethnic especially Asian or South American., as well as a great burger, burro, steak, fish. Thanks in advance, again.

Antonelli's Deli..
It's on the border of EC & Santee..
Best deli and their turkey cheese on rye for $5.50 is outstanding!

One of the best deli's...the owner is sweet as pie too..from NY.

Turkey I like but it has to be white meat...no dark meat!

Antonelli's is very good, but definitely not the best sandwiches in the County. What am I missing that is so amazing there?

Really, really fresh ingredients, especially the bread.

Sab E Lee (Thai) is good, as is Oishii (Japanese/Thai) on Mast. Another choice would be Roots Kitchen on Mission Gorge. They source locally, the food is good, and have a decent selection of brews.

Nice. I've tried the Linda Vista location, and that sounds like a good call.

We tried Sab-E-Lee and it was nothing special. We live in San Carlos and enjoy Sei (Navajo and Lake Murray) for sushi, The Fish Bucket Grill in Keil's strip mall for fish and Vine Cottage (Lake Murray) for continental.
