The staff at this restaurant wears this shirt and now they are selling a few for the Holiday season...
oh, FUN! :)
Best restaurant T-shirt I ever bought was at Stockman's in Missoula, Montana. "Liquor up front, poker in the rear."
Reminds me of a bar near Baltimore called "Dick's Halfway Inn."
Was there mold on it?
As my mother used to say, "Many a truth is said in jest."
Am I the only one who didn't think it was that cool or funny?
I'm in your camp.
It actually makes me NOT want to eat there. Why patronize a placed where the owners and staff have such disregard for their customers? Tongue in cheek, satire whatever but t still rings false.
"It actually makes me NOT want to eat there."
My thoughts exactly. There is a difference between witty, tongue-in-cheek humor and just plain snarky. And I'll add I waited tables for years, thought all of those things many times, but would never say one of them to a customer.
That they wear the shirt is true. Not sure his claim that it's a joke or satire is true though. I don't find it funny or awesome. I don't care to patronize patronizing restaurants.
+3, Joanie. Lousy design, terrible colors, unkind words definitely Not said in jest...Couldn't be worse.
From a design point of view, the shirt is terrible. Some of the quotes on the back are funny, but the shirt inspires no awe.
I agree, I don't see the attraction to it, and I was a waitress in my college years.
I have dinner at Avalon at least a couple of times a month. Wish I hadn't seen this post.
