Salted Caramels

I mailed ordered some a while ago from a place in Massachusetts and they were great. I don't remember the name of the place. So can you recommend some hand craft place that specializes in salted caramels? I think it is outside of Boston but not too far away...

Know this isn't the brand you were looking for, but McCrea's Candies makes amazing black lava salt caramels in Boston: http://www.mccreascandies.com/ I bought a couple other flavors but haven't tasted them yet.

Is it possible you're thinking of Lake Champlain Chocolates in Burlington, VT? They were very early on the salt caramel wagon, as in 6 or 7 years ago, and their plain salted vanilla caramel remains a favorite.

I think I've seen Lake Champlain chocolate bars at Whole Foods, so they might also carry or be able to get the salted caramels for you.

True fabulousness; Red Kite Candy from Vermont...You can buy their caramels at City Feed, and lots of Whole Foods, or mail order....

The Formaggios sell a couple of kinds: fancy ones in nice boxes, and cheaper ones in cello wrappers, sold loose from a bucket by the register. I prefer the cheaper ones.

Not handcrafted but in a pinch, I like the ones that Whole Foods sells. They look like this: http://www.stltoday.com/lifestyles/fo...
