Beef Roll's Chewy Cousin at Macchiato In Monterey Park
Following up on Tony C's Eater L.A. item, the recently opened Macchiato in Monterey Park has an interesting take on the beef roll, using chewy Belgian waffles instead of pancakes. A generous layer of beef with pickled vegetable between the two waffles seems to be a significant upgrade over the traditional beef roll--or maybe it's just the novelty that intrigued me. Macchiato is at 141 N. Atlantic Bl., #110.
