Question about The Salty Pig

  • 8

I'm looking to have my monthly book club here but am curious if anyone who has been could tell me how loud it gets. It's pretty lame when we wind up at a place to talk and have to yell to hear each other.

Agreed. We were seated at one of the high-tops near the door, though, and it seemed a bit quieter on that side.

      1. So loud that it didn't even make it to "one and done" status for me. Walked out after wanting to hold my hands over my ears when we stepped inside for the first time. Sometimes I'll try to endure the noise to try the food but this place is designed for people who want to text while they eat and don't like talking to the people at their table.

        1. We usually eat at the bar, which is fine. But the situation at the tables, especially the larger high tops is LOUD

Still, I like the place alot.

But not a good destination for a book group

          1. Hmm...seems I should skip it for book club and just go with the husband at some point since I hear him talk enough. ;)

            1. It is somewhat loud, but not as loud as some other places I've been to recently, where I had to scream my order at the waitress. However, the noise level does require one to speak a bit loudly to be heard, so if you are looking for a quiet place for a discussion, probably not a good choice.

              1. don't know what time of day your book club meets, but a colleague and i met late afternoon (between conference panels), and it was very quiet. of course, the full menu wasn't available, but we made due with a great margarita pizza and several pate selections and a couple of glasses of wine.
