I always enjoy Ithaka on 86th Street between 2nd/1st.-Greek-to me its interchangeable w Medditeranean.
Uva...2Ave-77/78st.Italian w/outdoor garden in the back.But, will probably be noisy at prime time.
Beyoglu and Fig & Olive for a sit down mealMama Gyro for take away
Persepolis for the best Iranian food around (not saying much in NYC, unfortunately)Moustache for delicious appetizers and fresh baked bread
Beyoglu for good Turkish.
Al Bustan for excellent authentic Syrian/Lebanese food.
In Midtown East, Pera is pretty good.
