best pumpkin cheesecake in Berkeley/Oakland/Emeryville?

Having a seasonal craving... where would you go for a slice?

Thank you for all the suggestions... please keep em coming. Meanwhile I see that Masse's Thanksgiving specials list has a yummy sounding version. Will have to call them to see if they are selling it by the slice. If not, I'll start at Market Hall & see how it goes....

I've seen mini-pumpkin/cheesecakes at Bette's To-Go, but I'm not sure it's a regular offering. You might call there.

I don't have an answer to best. But, I have tried pumpkin cheesecake this year from La Farine (okay, too much nutmeg I think) and CPK (I'm ashamed to admit, but I was there... Very gingery crust, two layers that taste the same, limited pumpkin flavor). Neither were amazing.

          What's CPK?

I can tell this is going to turn into some kind of epic quest...

Yes, California Pizza Kitchen. Sorry for the abbreviation!

I am not qualified to say the "best", but Nabolom (Russell at College) offers a good one. I personally crave their holiday stollen with meyer lemon icing. Call ahead.

Sorry, but I really can't imagine Nabolom qualifying as the best of anything except for good intentions.

Market Hall lists pumpkin cheesecake on its Christmas list--so soon, if not tomorrow--and they do a good job.

(The best pumpkin sweet in the East Bay imo is Crixa's pumpkin pie--but I hear you that you're looking for cheesecake not pie!)
