NY Asian Mart in Sunrise

Has anyone tried this market yet?? I really like the Korean market across from Gabose off of University. Wondering how it compares. Kinda psyched there's another big market to choose from!

I've been there but didn't have a chance to shop b/c we were eating at the Pine Court restaurant in the same strip. Selection is mind-bogglingly huge. It is at least the size of an average Publix and has very extensive seafood, meat and produce departments in addition to dry goods.

      1. New York Asian Mart has mainly Chinese items with some Korean, and other Asian ingredients

        1. I've been there a few times and was impressed with the selection. The seafood dep't is amazing, and the produce selection is better than any other Broward Asian market that I've visited (with the exception of Foodtown, which isn't strictly Asian.) Prices were a little higher than my usual place, but not out of line compared to the smaller markets.

As jpr54_1 pointed out, Chinese products make up the bulk of the selection, I had no luck finding a bottle of shichimi togarashi (a Japanese spice mix,) and had to go to the Japanese/Korean market at University & Oakland.
