He'd like to eat some lamb, I want to wear a dress..

My husband and I both celebrate our birthdays in December and are searching for a resto for this year's celebration. His only request is that the restaurant serve a good lamb (shank, chop, whatever..he's not fussy so long as it is tasty)..me, I will eat anything happily, but have a kind of hot dress I would like to wear, so I guess the atmosphere should be supportive to something a little slinky. Location - prefer south of Eglinton but will go west or east in the city.. Thanks!

  1. I think the lamb shank at Penelope on King Street West is awesome, however, it does not seem to be on the menu any longer. You can't go wrong with any of their lamb dishes though - all very good IMHO.

ps. this is the place for a hot dress

    1. If I wanted to get dressed up and order lamb, I'd want to go to Scaramouche http://www.scaramoucherestaurant.com/...
      or Mistura.

For a slightly less expensive dinner in a somewhat more casual atmopshere, also consider Le Select, which currently has leg of lamb on the menu. Volos would be the place to go for Greek-style lamb, if you wanted to wear a hot dress.

If I wanted to eat lamb before going to a musical at the Royal Alex, I'd go to Penelope. Was not aware that Penelope is the place for a hot dress!
