Ottolenghi's Mediterranean Feast

Is anyone else watching this? Ottolenghi seems to be in perpetual, childlike awe, which is rather adorable. I'm also loving that the episodes so far have featured a few vegetarian dishes amongst the meaty ones- loved the seven-vegetable couscous demonstration and then his interpretation, and the Turkish-style vegetables with yogurt and chili oil from the Turkey episode.

(Not sure if and when episodes will make it to North America.)

  1. I think both episodes so far have been great.

    What I find surprising is that there's no accompanying cookbook. A trick being missed there, for sure.

      I'd thought that maybe it would end with his visit to Isreal and tie in to his Jerusalem cookbook? (I know it came out already, but not that long ago... maybe the show should have been scheduled for a bit earlier?)

        It is odd. His Jerusalem TV programme was shown ages before the book was even advertised. Perhaps the same is going to happen with this and a book will appear "out of the blue" next year.
