Thansgiving: Everyday meal for single guy from Canada

  • 3

I saw suggestions about OpenTable, but I'm looking for a restaurant (simple is OK but not McDonalds or Ihop) that is casual and suitable for just a single person. I would feel strange on my own at a restaurant Thanksgiving feast.

Thanks!

I'm in Allston but not near any stores / restaurants. Is it worth a walk over to Harvard Street to see what is open maybe? I don't know the area.

I love Indian food, too, Chinese, Mexican...

  1. Take the Green Line to Boylston and head into Chinatown.

Thanks - maybe Chinatown is the thing to do.

I looked at volunteering, but there is mostly church organizations, and I am not familiar with religion (I'm not baptized, don't know the bible, etc).

charlie's kitchen is harvard square is open..a long time Harvard Square institution....kind of a dive bar with their regular menu (double cheeseburger $5), kids are fine there so it's not that dive-ish during the day....get a good brew and also they do have a turkey plate special.
