Lunch in Portland 11.23

My family will be traveling to Blue Hill this weekend and plan on stopping in Portland for lunch on Friday. We would like a to get a nice lunch and take a break after several hours of driving. None of us are familiar with Portland so we would really appreciate some suggestions.

We are not traveling with kids so no need for a child-friendly place. We are all pretty adventurous eaters. We would prefer, but are not married to something with seafood.

Thanks in advance for your help!

All good recs above. Nice thing about Pai Men Miyake, Duckfat and Eventide is that they're open throughout the afternoon without a break between lunch and dinner. Here at 2:30? No problem. You can still get a nice meal. You can easily piggyback with Duckfat and Eventide as they're across the street from each other. Eventide then a shake and order of fries from Duckfat for the road. You won't regret it. Actually, you probably would.

For a nice lunch on Friday, I would recommend Pai Men Miyake or Petit Jacqueline next door (parking is on street and can be tricky, but totally worth it).

Evenentide is an option for oysters and other interesting seafood, but remember this day will be really busy at all the hot spots i.e. Duckfat across the street!
