Great Gujarati

I am visiting Piscataway for this Thanksgiving weekend. We have no Gujarati thali or farsaan/snack shops in Northern Virginia, but I know some parts of NJ are loaded with them. I miss this kind of food and I want to make it to a Gujju owned resto that ideally serves thaali and farsaans, but will settle for a place that only does one (or like a sweet shop that is known for great farsaan and chaat). Can anyone give me advice on where to go? I don't know the layout of the land, but I am willing to drive maybe up to an hour for a really great place. I've heard Edison is loaded with Gujju places, is that far from where I will be...any advice or recs?

Piscataway is pretty close to Edison. Oak Tree Road in Edison has many places.

Yes! Go to Oak Tree Road...you'll find stores and restaurants galore. Your best bet (if someone doesn't chime in w/a specific rec here) is to walk in to one of the stores and ask--I'm betting the people working in the area will know where to send you! :-)

I can't give you specific advice, I don't even know what you are looking for. What I can tell you is that you are in the epicenter of South Asian everything in NJ! If you can't find it where you are, it probably doesn't exist in NJ.
