Food walking tours Paris

mbbear Nov 21, 2012 10:51 AM

I'm interested in a food walking tour while I'm in Paris around the holidays. Does anyone have one they can recommend? There are quite a few to chose from.

Leonard Pitt, the author of several books on walks in historic Paris, occasionally does a chocolate walking tour. No idea how good it is, but it sounds interesting:

Not sure when your trip is, but we have booked the Holiday Tour with Paris by Mouth for December 20 & then a tour with Wendy Lyn the next day. I know they might be a bit redundant, but we think both will be a good introduction to food & wine & neighborhoods. I'll be happy to report to you if your trip is after this date.

Highly recommend Paris by Mouth tours. Groups of 6 have tours based on cheese, sweets, a general tour or more. The company owner Meg Zimbeck is very, very knowledgeable and conducts the tours with humor, generosity, and intelligence.
They also are longer and 1/2 the cost of W Lyn.

Deluca: spot-on. Meg Zimbeck knows it all without being a know-it-all.

yep, but, as they say, you get what you pay for, and Wendy has the better contacts
